This song is about wanting to reignite a spark after it's fizzled. It took about 4 and a half hours to write. Comments and constructive criticism are encouraged.
Boring Details: I was driving back from the grocery store and they were playing "Fake Empire" by The National. The piano part to the song has an unusual rhythm and I decided to try doing something like that. I didn't quite succeed, but that was the starting point.
Most of the songs I've written this month haven't been terribly personal (though there are always personal elements), but this one definitely is. It details a relationship that was never meant to be. It's stupid that I'm 44 years old and still suffer schoolboy crushes...
