I sometimes create a writing prompt for a friend, but I figured I'd let everybody in on the action. This prompt is for anyone to use and, hopefully, be inspired by.

By decree of the high minister of calendar management, there will be no New Year. Instead, 2016 will be a mash-up of previous years. Each month must come from a different year, but they can be from any year in history. You have been appointed to arrange the final order of months for 2016. What months from what years do you choose?
