Promptly!

A friend of mine as me to start sending her daily writing prompts.  It could just be a word, a turn of phrase or anything, really.  I just need to send her something to get her brain working; she then does a free-writing during lunch based on it.  Anyway, I just decided to post the prompts here-- if anybody wants to take these blurbs as a starting point for something more creative, please do.  (There are only four this week because my friend was too busy one day to do a free-writing).

#1 A game of tag in which one kid chases another off a bridge and into a creek.

#2  Your car breaks down late at night, in the middle of nowhere, and without a phone available to  you.  Frustration mounts until you're surprised by a spectacular meteor shower in the clear summer sky.

#3  You find your old diary/journal from years ago buried in a box in a storage space.  While reading it you notice unfamiliar notes in the margins written in a foreign language you don't know.

#4 Scientists have discovered that humans can teleport across long distances if they meditate while listening to a specific musical pattern.
