Steve Albini's Take On The State Of The Music Industry
Steve Albini has been around for a long time, and he's probably best known for the albums he's produced for acts like Nirvana, The Pixies, P. J. Harvey, The Breeders, Low and many other indie acts. He's also been known a fierce critic of the music industry for much of the last 30 or so years. This video is his keynote address for the Face The Music conference in Australia earlier this year, and in it he compares and contrasts how the music industry was before and after the internet changed everything. Whether or not you agree with his assessment, this is a must-watch video for anybody interested in making music today.
