Day 3: Add Me In Photoshop

Lyrics:
I've got a picture of you
You've got a picture of me
And so now whereever we'll be
We'll be together

You could be a traveler in Rome
I could be stranded at home
Take a photo on your telephone
And I can be there

And I don't care
What scene you shot
You can add me
In Photoshop
Right where I belong

The Vatican is just not the same
The Colosseum calls out my name
You can fit me into the frame
Right beside you

Put me in the back or the front
You can use a filter or not
Put me in whatever you got
You'll have a clear view

And I don't care
What scene you shot
You can add me
In Photoshop
Right where I belong

Details: I forgot that the biggest difficulty with writing a song everyday is getting yesterday's song out of my head. My tactic for doing that is to focus on a different rhythm, so my songs should have substantially different rhythms from day to day. Anyway, I wanted to do something a bit more pop than what I did the first two days.

I got to talking with the lady who cut my hair yesterday, and she had worn and interesting costume for Halloween last year-- she dressed herself up as a badly photoshopped person. It was designed to make her look fake in any photo that was taken of her. She showed me some photos and it worked! Anyway, that got me thinking about Photoshop.

This song is a bit saccharine; I wanted to fight its sweetness and poppiness, but I decided to just let it come out the way it was going. Tomorrow I'm going to have to do something really sludgy to wash the taste out of my mouth. I have a hard time writing something that has no sadness or cynicism in it.
